Your rights with the stamp

Documents filed — and life goes on

The submission stamp in your passport isn't "limbo" — it's a clear legal status. Here's what it gives you as a working person.

You can work

If you hold a valid work permit, the submission stamp keeps all your existing rights until the decision itself. No permit? We'll help you arrange one in parallel.

Permit valid — you keep working

You stay legal the whole wait

Application filed correctly before your current status ends — a stamp goes into your passport, and your stay is legal right up to the decision. Even if the wait stretches into months.

Filed before your visa ends

Travel — by the rules

With the stamp you can visit Schengen countries, though with limits; for other countries you need a valid visa. Tell us your plans before booking — we'll advise what's safe.

Ask us before you travel

From 27 April 2026, residence permit applications are accepted online only — through the government MOS system. To log in you need a Profil Zaufany — your electronic signature for Polish government services. We'll set it up together with you, it's included in our support.

MOST COMMON

Work-based residence card

Umowa o pracę or umowa zlecenie — the most common basis for a residence permit. We take you from consultation to card in hand.

  • A stamp at submission — the right to work while you wait
  • Card for 1–3 years
  • Schengen travel — 90 days out of 180
  • A foundation for permanent residence — and citizenship down the road

Changing employers

A new job while your case is pending isn't a disaster. What matters is doing everything by the rules and on time.

  • You need to notify the voivodeship office about the change
  • In some cases a new application is required
  • Message us before you switch — we'll keep your case in order

Blue Card — for specialists

Niebieska Karta UE — a residence card for highly qualified specialists, with perks across the EU.

  • A university degree — or 5+ years of work experience
  • An employment contract for at least 1 year
  • Permanent residence — after just 2 years
  • EU mobility — after 18 months

Your own business: JDG or Spółka

Your own business is also a basis for a residence card. We'll open the company and set up the accounting.

  • JDG (sole proprietorship) — registration via CEIDG, 1–3 business days
  • Sp. z o.o. (LLC) — limited liability
  • Bank account and PKD codes — done for you
  • We'll advise on the right form and tax regime

How the process works

Work residence card — six steps

The whole journey is online, through the government MOS system. In person — only fingerprints and picking up your finished card.

Your work doesn't stop. Filing on time + a valid work permit = you keep working through all the months of waiting. We make sure not a single deadline is missed.

Timelines — honestly

Full cycle: 8–16 months
